Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 24, 2026
Neutral Sound LLC ("we" or "us") operates the Neutral Tracks application and the website at neutralsound.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What We Collect
Email address
When you sign up on the website, we collect your email address. This is voluntary. We use it to send you product updates, beta access information, and lifecycle emails. We also capture optional UTM parameters from the URL and your approximate country and locale from request headers.
Crash reports (Sentry)
The Neutral Tracks application sends crash reports to Sentry when it encounters an error. Crash reports include technical information about the error (stack traces, audio configuration, plugin names, transport state) but do not include personal data, file paths, or project content. An anonymous identifier links crash reports across sessions without identifying you.
Analytics (PostHog)
The application collects usage analytics via PostHog to understand how features are used, measure audio quality, and improve the product. Analytics are consent-based — you choose whether to opt in during the first launch, and you can change your preference in Settings at any time. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. Analytics data includes feature usage events, session duration, and audio performance metrics. It does not include personal data or project content.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Email: to send product updates, beta access, and lifecycle emails via our email provider
- Crash reports: to identify and fix bugs
- Analytics: to understand feature usage and improve the product
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We share only what is necessary for each service to function.
4. Data Retention
Your email is stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Analytics data is retained for 12 months.
5. Children's Privacy
Neutral Tracks is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you may only use it under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
6. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA — we honor all applicable requests.
